Instructions:

Flower Center:

  1. Round 1: With beige yarn, make a magic ring and crochet 6 single crochets (sc) into the ring. Pull tight to close. (6 sts)
  2. Round 2: 2 sc in each stitch around. (12 sts)
  3. Round 3: 1 sc in next stitch, 2 sc in next stitch repeat around. (18 sts)
  4. Round 4: 1 sc in next 2 stitches, 2 sc in next stitch repeat around. (24 sts)
  5. Rounds 5-6: Sc in each stitch around. (24 sts)
  6. Add safety eyes and embroider a smile with black yarn.
  7. Round 7: 1 sc in next 2 stitches, sc2tog repeat around. (18 sts)
  8. Round 8: 1 sc in next stitch, sc2tog repeat around. (12 sts)
  9. Round 9: Sc2tog around. (6 sts)
  10. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuff the center lightly and sew the opening closed.

Flower Petals:

  1. Round 1: With white yarn, make a magic ring and crochet 12 double crochets (dc) into the ring. Pull tight to close and join with a slip stitch. (12 sts)
  2. Round 2: Chain 2, 2 dc in each stitch repeat around. Join with a slip stitch. (24 sts)
  3. Round 3: Chain 2, dc in same stitch, 2 dc in next stitch repeat around. Join with a slip stitch. (36 sts)
  4. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew the petals around the center of the flower.

Leaf:

  1. Row 1: With green yarn, chain 10. Sc in the second chain from the hook and in the next 8 chains. (9 sts)
  2. Row 2: Chain 1, turn, sc2tog, sc in next 5 stitches, sc2tog. (7 sts)
  3. Row 3: Chain 1, turn, sc2tog, sc in next 3 stitches, sc2tog. (5 sts)
  4. Row 4: Chain 1, turn, sc2tog, sc in next stitch, sc2tog. (3 sts)
  5. Row 5: Chain 1, turn, sc3tog. (1 st)
  6. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew the leaf next to the flower.

Welcome Sign:

  1. Row 1: With beige yarn, chain 26. Sc in the second chain from the hook and in each chain across. (25 sts)
  2. Rows 2-10: Chain 1, turn, sc in each stitch across. (25 sts)
  3. Fasten off and switch to black yarn.
  4. Using black yarn, embroider the word “WELCOME” onto the beige rectangle.

Assembly:

  1. Attach the flower and leaf to the top of the sign using the yarn needle or a hot glue gun.
  2. Cut a piece of beige yarn or use a braided cord to create a loop for hanging. Attach it to the top corners of the sign.
